Artist's Description
This oil painting from 1986 was made as part of a series of drawings and paintings of my wrapped sculptures. While in the Düsseldorf Kunstakademy, we needed to create large sculptures. In order for them not to crack we had to wrap them in big, thick plastic sheets. This was really awesome, it took my paintings and drawings to a different direction. I have painted the wrapped figures listing to Gregorian Chanting. Hence the name.
About David Euler
Painting and photography were always part of my being. it is time now to present and publish my art. Born in Germany, growing up in Israel, and living in the US exposed me to a variety of cultures and ides that are translated into a visual form. My first painting mentor was Gershon Knispel in Haifa, Israel, then Michael Irmer in Duesseldorf. I am interested in exploring new challenges.
