This homage to Matisse, Magritte, and Ernst was a process emerging from an abstract monochromatic, stone-like background to a shaded tapestry where a reclining, Matisse-like, figure emerged and was transformed into a surrealistic presentation. it is a mixed-style statement of development and passage through time. The elements that make-up this composition are weaved together in layers to become surreal.
Painting and photography were always part of my being. it is time now to present and publish my art. Born in Germany, growing up in Israel, and living in the US exposed me to a variety of cultures and ides that are translated into a visual form. My first painting mentor was Gershon Knispel in Haifa, Israel, then Michael Irmer in Duesseldorf. I am interested in exploring new challenges.
